All IRINOX products are in compliance with EN 60529 e EN 62262, which establish a classification system regarding the degrees of protection provided by enclosures for electrical equipment from solids, liquids and external mechanical impacts.

The IP protection rating (CEI EN 60529) is an international standard that classifies the level of protection of equipment from solid particles or water. IP codes are made up of two digits, each with its own meaning: therefore the elements of the code must be read individually and not together.
The first digit indicates protection of people from contact with hazardous parts and protection of materials from contact with solid foreign objects:
0. No protection 1. Protection from solid particles over 50 mm (e.g. involuntary contact with hands) 2. Protection from solid particles over 12 mm (e.g. fingers) 3. Protection from solid particles over 2.5 mm (tools, wires) 4. Protection from solid particles over 1 mm (small tools, thin wires) 5. Protection from dust (no harmful deposit) 6. Total protection from dust.
The second digit indicates protection of materials from the harmful ingress of water:
0. No protection 1. Protection from dripping water falling vertically 2. Protection from dripping water when tilted up to 15° 3. Protection from dripping water when tilted up to 60° 4. Protection from water splashing from any direction 5. Protection from water jets projected by a nozzle from any direction 6. Protection from powerful water jets 7. Protection from the effects of immersion 8. Protection from the effects of submersion. 9K. Protection from close high pressure hot water jets from any direction.
The IK code (CEI EN 62262), is an international numerical classification of the degree of protection for casings from external mechanical impacts.
The standards specify how casings must be positioned during tests, atmospheric conditions, number of impacts, their distribution and size, material and type of instruments suitable for producing the amount of energy required. The IK code is made up of 2 numerals that correspond to the impact energy expressed in joule.
Several IRINOX products are certified and have achieved internationally acknowledged certification.
The main IRINOX products are UL (Nema 1, 12, 4, 4X)certified.
The UL certification mark is one of the most popular and widely recognised.
Products carrying the UL mark are compliant with UL requirements, which are based on safety standards published by UL.
The C-UL-US mark indicates compliance with both Canadian and U.S. requirements.
The C-UR-US mark is a guarantee of compliance with Canadian and U.S. requisites for components of UL marked products.
Type 1: Indoor stainless steel enclosures and cabinets; mainly used to provide protection from limited amounts of settling dust. Type 12: Indoor stainless steel enclosures and cabinets; mainly used to provide protection from air-borne dust that settles on the equipment, and from dripping non-corrosive liquids. Type 4: Indoor and outdoor stainless steel enclosures and cabinets; mainly used to provide protection from wind-borne dust and rain, water sprays, water jets and damage caused by the external formation of ice. Type 4X: Indoor and outdoor stainless steel enclosures and cabinets; mainly used to provide protection from corrosion, wind-borne dust and rain, water sprays, water jets and damage caused by the external formation of ice.
IRINOX products also conform to directive ATEX 2014/34/UE which provides regulations for equipment to be used in areas where there is an explosion hazard.
The name comes from the French words ATmosphères and EXplosibles.

The CE, marking in force since 1993, indicates conformity to all the obligations incumbent on manufacturers (or importers) about their products (or those placed on the market under his own responsability) under the European Community Directives, allowing the free commercialization of branded products within the European market.
